I can't understand why the JW's don't send their young pioneers to preach at the university campuses. They could just set up stands or hand out free mags or brochures or something. A lot of those impressionable young spiritually starved students would just gobble it up!

So sad. Those poor, humble people. Why do such disasters happen to those who least deserve it.

It's amazing what you can do with the free labour of BRAINWASHED SLAVES. The Watchtower is a monstrous blood-sucking leech that feeds on the energy of brainwashed young men who get paid a tuppence for slaving for a ruthless publishing house during the best years of their life.
The poor, sick, needy also get absolutely ZILCH from their grandiose, tax-free, prime real estate profits!
All you bethelites reading this: ESCAPE NOW AND GO EARN A PROPER LIVING. GET A GIRLFRIEND AND GET A LIFE!

If the G.B. and WTS don't have good motives, what is the point.....
by Mightyone inthis may be the topic of an old thread but, if the g.b.
and wts don't have good motives, what is the point of the whole religion?
i mean, it doesn't appear that anybody is getting rich or am i missing something.

I think they do have good motives and they are sincere, but the trouble is they are deluded and brainwashed by many of their own false teachings and concepts. They are captives of the castle in the air that Joseph Rutherford and Fred Franz built. They have good motives and believe they are benefitting millions of people within their own fantasy bubble worldview they live in.

Fantasizing about the end of the Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Bring_the_Light ini'm pretty new here.
after being on my own 10 years, i'm finally coming to grips with my past (which i previously just ignored/didn't think about).
thanks for existing everyone, its been very existential.

I wouldn't waste the emotional energy mate. The dubbies will be around for quite a lot longer yet. They are contracting very slowly and will not crash suddenly. Better to find more pleasant things to fantasize about.

RE : 2008 Assembly
by lancelink inthis afternoon i was flipping in one of the june magazines, and i noticed the assembly content page.
i started reading it and almost fell over because of this statement : .
the theme of friday will be " the spirit will guide you into all the truth" .

Not sure why you were floored by that? The phrase "The spirit will guide you into all the truth" is simply taken from John 16:13, which is talking about the future holy spirit guiding Christians into truth.

Review: Nat Geo's 'Inside a Cult': Would you drink the kool-aid?
by Dogpatch init took me a long time to open up this review dvd and watch this film, and because of past studies on cults and the whys and hows; i already have a good understanding of them.
i am not a fan, nor am i of most of the organized respectable faiths either, but at least those congregations usually stay within legal parameters and offer their faithful some peace of mind and community tradition.. cults are different because they cross the lines of propriety.
they are renegades to society and basic human rights, mostly women and children, and are unified by their leaders hubris, hucksterism and sheer strength of mind power.

I'm really sick of hearing about "kool-aid". It's getting trite.

by TooBad TooSad ina very good friend of mine is convinced that the change in the book study arrangement.
is a sign that the end is so near and the jehovah made the change to emphasize the.
